During the Covid-19 pandemic, people with mental disease found their lives changed dramatically. Without the possibility of having contacts, these individuals are finding themselves marginalised:
- People who suffer from alcoholism can no longer have group therapy;
- People who suffer from anxiety could become even more anxious by seeing the panic and hysteria;
- Economic backlash that will leave people without the possibility to pay;
- Not being able to even simply have a walk.
This can have long-lasting consequences on the mentally ill’s psyche, the likes of which will be felt after the Covid-19 historical context. There’s a gap that needs to be filled, and the idea could be an online platform that can reunite mentally ill patients with psychologists, psychiatrists, psychotherapists and people from their close circle.
Suggestions are greatly appreciated.
